Showcase 01 – Review

After months of hard work Funkstar Dance Showcase 01 took place on December 11th and 12th 2009. This was Funkstar’s debut showcase. It promised to be an evening of big fun, big moves, big hair, and big performance and it certainly lived up to this.

Showcase 01 was a great success and Donna is extremely proud of all the dancers involved!!

Congratulations to Cara Wilson who achieved the Funkstar Dance Award 2009, really well deserved!! A massive well done to those who achieved Funkstar Dance silver badges too.

			Funkstar Dance posted a photo:	Funkstar were asked by Claire House Children’s Hospice to perform and then lead a world record attempt at Tranmere Rovers. Funkstar Junior and Senior team performed and then lead the crowd through a warm up before doing the twist for 5 minutes.Unfortunately, there wasn’t quite 2000 people to acheive the twisting record, however we successfully beat the record of how many people you can get to tap their heads and rub their bellies!It was a gorgeous day at Prenton Park, everybody had fun and we raised money.More information: www.funkstardance.co.uk			Funkstar Dance posted a photo:	My Generation Rock is an event that hosts entertainment from local bands, artists and acts to raise money for charity. MGR takes place many times over summer from April-September. Funkstar Dance Mini, Junior and Senior Teams were delighted to be asked to open My Generation Rock at Vale Park on Saturday 17th April.This was the first time the Minis had performed outside at an open air event. They performed so well that somebody made a special request for them to perform again, well done!Funkstar brought in the crowds, fun and sun.
