Street Dance Classes are held at Funkstar Dance Studio!
Funkstar teaches an original, fun, fierce style of street, jazz and commercial dance, concentrating on entertaining and performance.
Dance classes at Funkstar Dance Studio are only £3.50 and consist of warm ups, limbering, tricks, technique work, routine, and much more.
Funkstar can always guarantee you a place!
Please wear comfortable clothing to classes and bring a drink. There is a consent form that must be signed before taking part and uniform must be worn to all lessons after attending for a month.
The age groups below are for general idea and Donna will put the dancers in the correct group based on confidence, experience and ability. Please see below for further information on classes, if you are still unsure about which class to attend please contact Donna

Class Information
Tots classes concentrate on gaining confidence and introducing the child to warm ups, freestyle, technique and performing in a fun way. This includes playing games and learning routines. Children of this age group react in different ways, some of them walk into the studio full of confidence and others are very shy at first. Donna recommends to give your child at least 4 weeks to get used to the tots class, it may take them time to join in but being in the studio is a great start.
Minis classes concentrate on introducing the child to warm ups, technique, routines and tricks. These classes are still fun and include some games but are focused on preparing the children for the next level.
All Juniors, Seniors and SuperStarz classes are high energy and engaging. Donna works the dancers extremely hard to prepare them for the professional world.
Funkstar members are not expected to have previous experience or confidence but they are expected to come in to Funkstar with a passion and energy towards dance.
Teams are groups of dancers chosen by Donna to represent Funkstar at events and competitions.
Boys are very welcome to attend all classes at Funkstar, however Donna has created boys only classes for age 7+ because there is a big demand for them.
