Donna-Marie Tittle – Boss

Inspired by her Nan, theatre productions and pop concerts Donna started dancing and singing lessons at the age of 8.

At the age of 13 Donna auditioned for a girl band and was part of ‘Fusion’ for 5 years performing professionally at hundreds of events, supporting pop acts such as Atomic Kitten, recording songs videos and live radio shows and partying VIP. During this time she achieved an A in GCSE Dance along with 9 other GCSE’s at C and above.

Donna then went on to study BTEC National Diploma in Dance at Wirral Met. College where she achieved Distinctions throughout and was very proud to be given Student of the Year Award. During her time at WMC she also performed with many dance and theatre companies.

Donna continued her training at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks in Blackpool where she studied Professional Musical Theatre, Commercial Dance and Teaching. She became a member of  the International Dance Teachers Association when she was 19 and started freelance teaching whilst auditioning and dancing professionally. Some of her professional jobs have included backing dancing, music videos, adverts, cheerleading, podium dancing, and musical theatre productions.

In 2008 Donna decided to focus on teaching and has since worked hard to build up Funkstar Dance company. She is very proud of Funkstar’s achievements so far but has much more to give and dreams of Funkstar Dance Domination!

Elanur Can – Assistant

Elanur is an original member of Funkstar and is part of the Funkstar Team and Senior Team. She enjoys helping Donna with the Minis classes. Elanur is a very fun and talented member of the crew!

Amy Henderson – Assistant

Amy has attended Funkstar for 2 years and is part of the Funkstar Team and SuperStarz Team. She assists in the Tots and Minis classes and has oodles of SWAG!

Julie – Mummy Funkstar

Donna’s Mum, Julie, otherwise known as Mother Funkstar works on reception during the week, looks after everyone and keeps a watchful eye on all goings on!
